Carini For Cannavaro
Shame on Moratti!
Summer Market
What Can We Win?
Status Quo
Transfer Market
Firing Cuper was right
So Cannavaro is Bianconeri now. And Carini is Nerazzurri. This is either brillant or a very stupid move. It depends on the Israeli doctors judgement on his tibia problem. If he will never recover Juve have been screwed big time. If on the other hand he will recover we have sold one of the best players in the world to one of our rivals and getting a great young goalkeeper instead. This won´t be a great catastrophy either since he will loose his pace within a couple of years either way. So it is IMO either brillant or a catastrophy. We will know pretty soon though. So I rate it either 10/10 or 3/10 for Inter. Depending on the guys health. Also this is a huge gamble for Juve.
Message directly to Cannavaro: You were never loyal to us anyway, and it is now clear to me why you never gave a reason for why you decided to go to Euro 2004. You never played as Super Canna for us and this was partially your own fault. Also I lost patience with you months ago where you made me nervous for our defence everytime you played. Unless you had stayed with us and recovered from your tibia problem and ALSO played as Super Canna for at least one season I wouldn´t consider you truly a player with an Inter heart. You were only here for the money and the free drinks it seems to me. And since you wanna go to Juve, please do. Unless you recover from your injury we won´t miss you anyway. Go to Gobbi and I hope you never recover from your injury in your spell at Juve! If that happens I will just dislike your guts even more.
My Facchetti theory: Facchetti was part of Grande Inter so he knows perfectly well what club heart the players need to win trophies. Therefore he realised that Canna did not possess this club heart, hence wanting him out for the better of Inter assuming he would never recover from his injury anyway. So he convinces Moratti to let him go to Juve and get a long term goalkeeper to replace Toldo - Carini. In the end we win and Gobbi loose. If my theory is true it is likely that Canna got information from Israel that only he, Inter and Juve knows. (Canna obviously telling Juve about it). Information that he can not recover from his injury.
I refuse to believe that even Moratti would be stupid enough to give Juve Super Canna for Carini so I´m guessing they know something we don´t: My bet is the Fachetti theory. However if we give Juve Super Canna it will be one of the worst deals Moratti aproved ever. But like I said: I don´t believe so.
On the other hand, why would Moggi take Cannavaro if he will never be 100% fit?? Well to be honest I considered him a genius before this transfer market. Then surprisingly we actually did better than Juve during the Market. They still have circus defence, with Canna i top form they still have mini circus. So now I wouldn´t be surprised at all if they accepted Canna as he is now. Also because they had to sign someone...

Because of Moratti´s fatal mistake of sacking Zac and not let continuity with a Scudetto winning coach prevail. And get a young inexperience gamble who to his defence has achived amazing things with Lazio he has decreased our Scudetto chances with up to 50%...
Moratti gambled for no other reason the he usually does... His personal desires ahead of Inter´s. He has a soft spot for Mancio. So he goes ahead and have a meeting with Capello to scare Zac away.
Then makes an in advance deal with Mancini that makes our friends over lots of years, Lazio, rightly pissed...
Only a little luck and maybe even a little personal donation from Morona to Lazio´s cashstrapped team prevented a war between the two historically happy clubs in relation to each other.
After all this unintelligent crap from our Supremo we can only hope he gamble in Black and landed on Black.
Let´s say a decent season with Mancini is Black. A bad season with him is red. That is a 50/50 gamble that was totally unneeded when we had these odds IMO with Zac under the helm:
Success with Zac is Black, complete failure with him is Red. There was a 60% chance of at least winning the Coppa, 40% chance of winning Scudetto and 15% chance of winning CL.
YET MORATTI takes our chance of glory and turns them into futons that he use to gamle the future of Inter with in FREEKING LAS VEGAS.
Shame on Massimo Moratti. Sell Inter, immediately we will no that you are the kind of person who likes gambling his favourite team´s chances of success because of personal affection for Mancio.
Mancini isn´t to blame if we get no trophies next season. Moratti is!
It is sad, only thing speaking for success to Inter next season is our good transfer campaign. But that is not enough. I hope from the bottom of my heart that Mancini proves to be able to take the pressure at Inter and he will bring home Scudetto.
But IMH (now pessimistic) O I only see 10% procent chance of getting Lo Scudetto...
Sigh... Look at Juve,
look at Man U, look at Arsenal! The recipe to success is that you find a coach
who has won a major title before. Then give him a five years contract + give
him the players he asks for.
I am willing to spend € 1000 on a parade to make Moratti sell the club
if over 200 people signup!

Ferrari (Parma)
- unfortunately unlikely. But a great player.
Mexes (Auxerre) - probable signing. If Auxerre decide to
sell it is a race for his signature.
Metzelder (Dortmund) - unlikely signing. Inter would have
to offer a huge sum for him.
Stam (Lazio) - probable signing. If he arrives it would only
be for a few seasons.
In midfield the club is pretty good, although there is the need of getting rid of some players. Simply because there are too many central midfielders... In my opinion Lamouchi and Okan should be sold in the Summer Transfer Market. Then it could also be an idea to go out and buy an LM like César for example.
In attack the Nerazzurri are perfect in my opinion. A great mix of different kind of strikers and the right amount of players.
Toldo has made far too many mistakes this season. As a result of this Inter should take a look around to find a new goalkeeper. A club like Inter can´t afford to have a keeper who constantly give away easy goals. Who should replace Toldone? Only the Inter Administration know this...
As far as talents are concerned it is in my opinion a good idea to buy them and then ship them off to Parma for example.
Final list
of purchases and sales...
In:
Ferrari
Moreau/Frey
Cesar
Mexes
Out:
Lamouchi

By doing this the defence has been repaired and we have a keeper that gives security, the midfield has the right quantity and quality. The attack remain unchanged. With a squad designed specially for Zaccheroni Inter could enter a new era of glory!
It is now about three month since Alberto Zaccheroni and his staff took over. We are out of the Champions League, through to the quarter-finals in Coppa Italia and dumped right in the middle of the UEFA Cup. In Serie A we have registered 7 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats. Not bad in the light of the difficult situation. The team is still suffering from mental problems and they won´t dissapear in a heartbeat. Certain injury troubles have also done damage, not to mention the fact that Zac doesn´t have a playmaker. Only the injured Recoba can do this job.
Is the slim hope of winning the Scudetto realistic? Well, currently we are 8 points behind Roma, 5 behind Juve and Milan (Milan has a game in hand). Mathematically it is possible. There are 18 rounds left = 54 points up for grabs. You do the math... Our squad isn´t inferior to anyone´s, but our mental problems are a big minus for us. We choke too much and we are unlucky... Still I think we´re not out of the race. If we manage to beat the big teams or most of them we stand a chance. All the small teams must be defeated and it is crucial to avoid injuries. Furthermore we need to take one match a time and hope for the best. Our chances might be small but as long as it is possible to win we must fight our asses off! If it turns out we can´t win then we must fight for CL spot which has tremendous importance to our money tank...
Coppa Italia is a tournament people usually thinks of as a secondary tournament. But in our case it is an important tournament. If we can win a title it will boost the moral of the team and frankly this is the biggest chance we have to win something this year. Next we face Udinese, a team we should be able to beat if we field our best team.
After being eliminated from CL we still have the chance to win the UEFA Cup. I urge Inter to try their best to win this tournament – no resting players and so on. Money is up for grabs not to mention the honour it would be too finally win a trophy. Also a victory would mean two things: Automatic partizipation in next seasons CL and a Super Cup Final. Our chances our OK if we manage to pull ourselves up and beat the hell out of Sochaux. Then we´ll see.
In order to achieve this goals I feel it is necessary to design the team after Zac´s head. The big restructure will probably occur in the summer but still we could sign some players now. We all know the players linked to us. Personally I think we need to get a defender, two CM´s. Then we need to offload some players, as soon as possible. I can´t see why we should wait to do this... We need a change! As far as Adriano and Stankovic is concerned... Moratti buy, buy, buy!!
Alexander Linde Netterstrøm
Then a strange event took place. Massimo Moratti was actually improving and learning from his mistakes. He hired Cuper and gave him the chance to build up a team. Cuper turned us into a title contender again with his proffesionalism, and I wanna thank Hector for that! But where is the praise for Moratti??? Afterall it was him who found the right man to bring Inter back on track. Looking in the mirror it was perhaps a shame that he didn´t give him all the players he wanted - why did that happen so late? Maybe I was unpatient but those damned wingers should have been bought earlier!
Instead he slowly changed his transfer madness into wise and clever strategic campaigns buying players like Materazzi, Cannavaro, etc. You already know who they are.. Albeit not perfect Transfer campaigns but very improved choices. This summer I desperately wanted Cuper out, but I respected the choice of the Administration to give Cuper one last chance.
With the funds available we pulled of a literally perfect Transfer Campaign that was designed for Cuper. But then the very man who brought us out of misory was taking us back again. With his numerous stupidities, failure of winning a title the Administration with Moratti in charge had no other choice than to sack him in the middle the season. Of course they should have done it before, but better late than never. That was a sign of intelligence and courage from Moratti and Co. They saw the team was going nowhere and they promptly responded and appointed Zac as the man to take over.
Sunday was the day that saw Cuper sacked and Zac hired. He was to take over the following Wednesday, so Verdelli lead the team in Moscow. We lost and no wonder why! The vacuum of power was evident and Cuper left the team in a beginning crisis and mental mayhem. Plus changing the coach in the middle of the season also adds to the fragile mentality of the players. So Alberto Zaccheroni found a team left in ruins and chaos. The squad was strong but after years of failure the players were hopeless and only few were not totally destroyed psychologically.
All odds are against the new coach who is confronted with a challenge of dimensions: To bring Inter back on track. I don´t know if it was a miracle but the morale of the squad took a rebound and it was a new start. The Zac Era had begun... Zaccheroni´s first words was something like:
“I can´t produce miracles! The mentality within the squad must be changed, the player´s gotta believe in their ressources! Growth is vital! Agressiveness is a must, and so forth...
When he says he can´t make a team in chaos into a winning side in a splitsecond it shows that he is realistic. The change will take time but it is our goal. Zac´s soccer philosophy is to have 3 defenders, 4 midfielders, 2 strikers and one player to be inserted where he is needed the most. Obviously the squad was designed for Cuper´s defensive 4-4-2 system so it is hard for the coaches to form an ideal 3-4-3 line-up. Furthermore they have to recuperate the moral of the team which is perhaps the hardest thing of all. Not to mention that they have to change a team used to defensive tactics into a balanced 3-4-3 team. So I suggest that the Interisti give Zac and the rest of the staff time to prove himself. Afterall they are on a “Mission Impossible”.
Anyway the results in Serie A got better while in CL the results were bad. An evidence of both improvement and continuing dissapointment. Since I personally feel Serie A is more important than CL I feel a clear growth has taken place. Although we do have to at least reach the knockout phase in Europe!
The 5-1 defeat at home to Arsenal was ironically an important lesson. We got reality thrown right back into our heads again... After the joy of our relaunched domestic campaign we saw that Zac has accomplished what he would call ”growth” – but a slight growth. In so little time he has managed to make results better.
The mentality of the players is a delicate matter. It is impossible to tell whether there has been an improvement or backlash. But Zac certainly has a lot to do, right now Inter is a twoheaded monster in pain. The Administration has provided a coach who has clear objectives and plans. One of them is to turn the players defensive attitude from the Cuper Era into a selfconfident mentality.
From the point where Zac arrived to the Arsenal game we have seen a side with renewed hope, at least... New coach, new start. I repeat: The Arsenal game was a lesson – a reality flash, the mentality within the squad is still fragile and in need of a caring hand. My guess is that it will take time to better. The change of system has also affected the team.
Another lesson taught from the humiliating defeat is this: There is a huge difference between fielding a 3-4-3 and implimenting it. I saw the match and I agree with the former Danish NT stars Preben Elkjær and Brian Laudrup. The attackers were not helping the team at all. Their workrates were simply horrible! And they gotta play more horizontal, the ball was passing the middle way too often. This was also the flank´s fault since they failed to move in position and challenge the Arsenal fullbacks. Zac should have fielded Kily instead of a poorly playing Brechet, and Capitano has to improve his crossing! The CZ-Surgeon duo was way too passive and surrendered the initiative to Arsenal throughout big parts of the game. CZ-Almeyda wasn´t better... I offically join the “Retire Almeyda club” saying thank you for a great career but now it is time to go!
BoBo scored a fluke goal and did virtually nothing further. So what? Has he ever been the working type of striker? No, he has also been a lazy son of a b!tch. But you know what - he scored! and that´s basically what I ask from him because that´s what he does best! When I look back at the goals I experienced a Matrix coming back from injury and a Canna and Café with their minds on Derby D´Italia or Britney´s visit in the Jay Leno Show! Toldo and Cruz were the only players who seemed decent. I consider this to be a one off accident. For the sake of Inter I hope and think I´m right!
Forza Inter!!!
"I did it to give an example of a type of midfielder because I've seen him play recently, but on Sunday I saw Almeyda and Zanetti play in such a way that nothing else needs to be said."
A clear indication of the fact that the Transfer Window is coming closer everyday. Moratti and co. is according to the press currently working out a plan together with new coach Zaccheroni which includes a list of Zac´s targets. The targets remain unknown, but as always there is much speculation. Especially Stankovic from Lazio is mentioned. In Zac replied:
"You never turn down good players."
Kallon´s failed A-test has linked the Nerazzurri with a possible replacement of the African striker. Rumours have lined of several prolific strikers. In case Mimo fails his B-test the likes of Di Natale and Caracciolo is expected to fill the void.
The unstability of Alvaro Recoba´s performances and Moratti´s Owen dream has paved the way for a possible exchange of the two stars. Il Chino is supposed to join Liverpool on loan in January with an option of purchase in the summer. Then Michael Owen will go to Inter.
The rumours are endless and confussing as always, but this is what I would do if I was Moratti. First I would try to lure away Stankovic because we have no replacement for Emre. As it would be wise to save most of the money till the summer I wanna make a player + cash deal with Baraldi and Co. giving Lazio two opportunities:
10m Euro + two players from this
group (Lamouchi, Karagounis and Okan) for Stankovic.
Or 5m Euro + Brechet + Lamouchi.
Then we need a striker since we are in shortage in that department regardless of Kallon´s destiny. The first name that pops up for me is Caracciolo. The guy is so impressive. Then there is Patrick Kluivert who is on his way out of Barca. I believe a new club will reboost him. If we can´t get either of them it is important to get someone. Just any decent striker will do it for me as long as he is willing to play very little. Then there is Ventola, maybe we should snap him? Na, loan him out longer.
Now that we play 3-4-3 or 3-4-1-2 a playmaker is needed unless we choose to rely blindly on Recoba. Which I don´t! There are many names outhere but a player like Valeron is perhaps realistic since we don´t wanna spend all the money in the kitty.
Defencevely we´re good, no reinforcement needed in that department.
Until January we will see millions
of rumours, mostly homebrewed. Intriguing...
All this bullshit about blaming Moratti, Oriali and Branca for everything is getting annoying! And it seems obvious that Inter fans' sudden criticism of Moratti and co. is all down to the sacking of Cuper!
If we had a dreamteam management
and a dream team squad I honestly don´t believe we would ever win anything
with Cuper as a coach. He is too stubborn stubborn. Let me put it this way:
If he had a team full of strikers (I know there isn´t one) he would still
field his defensive 4-4-2 formation with two ballwinners
totally blinded by the fact that they are all strikers. That´s how freeking
stupid he is. He is simply unable to take the players he has and create a team
that plays a formation that fits the players.
Instead he does the opposite which is absurd because you can´t play 4-4-2 when if say all your RW´s or LW´s are injured. Then you would have no flank play which would limit your chances of scoring to the ones created through the middle and by individual miracles. If you were a wise coach you would change your formation to 3-5-2 and let the wingbacks attack.
The one and only freeking time I remember Cuper ever using 3-5-2 was against Milan. But also there he failed... The moron didn´t allow the wingbacks to attack so basically it was 5-3-2 which is the same as surrendering the initiative to Milan before the game even begun.
Other than his tactical stupidity he has another problem. He can´t substitute!!! How many times haven´t we ripped our hair off in frustration of his insane way of substitution. The latest example is strangely in his last game for us... Remember when we wanted we were down 2-0 and Cruz came on a changed the game. Why on the earth didn´t he put in Martins and go for the three points?!?!?
Another reason behind his sacking is pretty simple: The guy has won nothing in 2 years in charge. And when he singlehandedly was taking Inter into what was turning into a regular crisis Moratti and co. had to put an end to the Era of Cuper. With Cuper we won zero and vucking up so badly as he did in this season is simply not good enough for us.
There is no answer and there is no excuse for all this. There is no answer to this, and in the end even Cuper himself couldn´t convince THE GREAT MORATTI, ORIALI, AND BRANCA of allowing him to continue. I must admit that I was so relieved and happy when Moratti finally got rid of this source of shear stupidity.
So give the administration a break, please! They gave Cuper the players he wanted and he failed. What future was there in a guy who couldn´t produce results with a squad that is designed for him to the last detail???
I don´t say Zaccheroni will come as another angel and ´save us´. But he can´t possibly be worse than Cuper, right!?! I´m not building up high expectations to him because I´m a realist. However I do have hope!
