Mancini decides to make a few changes to his side for this must win game. He decides to give Burdisso,Cambiasso,Martins and Ze Maria a run in the starting lineupp.

Inter start off the better side and Oba Martins has a great chance when in the 3 minute the Anderlecht keepers goal kick hits the back of his own defender. When just a low shot was needed OBA goes for the spectacular and blazes an easy chance over the top.

After that early scare Anderlecht enjoy 5 minutes of dominance where have a few corners and low shots but not much that bother Inter's defence which for once this season looked solid.

Right after this period of Anderlecht pressure Inter get an counterattack going and Adriano manages to hold of 2(or was it 3?) Anderlecht defenders and picks Martins out with a great cross and he can't miss from there.

After the goal Inter enjoy a good period with Martins and Adriano being denied by some good interventions by Kompany and the goalie.

Anderlecht get a corner and Inter is lucky as Dindane
has a great chance to pull the scores level but puts his header wide. Late in the 1st half Veron is booked for a silly foul off pulling the yersey. A needless yellow card.

After the restart Inter again takes command of the game as 1st Martins has his low shot well saved then Inter gets a freekick which is deflected for a corner.

The crucial moment would arrive from this corner. As Emre's corner is headed in at the farpost by Adriano in truth it was bad play by the belgiums who had nobody on that post to stop the ball from going in.

Just 4 minutes later Inter would sure of the win as a lovely team move involing Adriano,Veron and Stankovic ends up with Deki hitting an unstopable drive past the helpless goalie. 3-0 Inter game finished.

After the 3 goal Mancini decides to try something out and brings Zanetti on for Favalli. I felt this was a good move and it seemed to work well.

After this Inter where basically content to portect the lead and try to hit Anderlecht on the counter.

Further subs where Cruz for Adriano to give our man some well deserved rest. Davids also replaced Stankovic to give some rest as well.

Anderlecht had 1 great chance when from point blank range Iachtchouk aims his header right at Toldo

There where 3 so posed to be 3 minutes os stoppage time. But the referee allows Anderlecht to take a corner even thought the time is up and Inter concede from here. Cruz missed a header at the nearpost and midfielders failed to close down Bassegio as the man who is an Inter blazes in an unstoppable shot.

So now we go on to face Roma on sunday in the knowledge that we just need a win and a draw from our last 4 cl group games and we should be through.

Plus points from the game was the solid defence. Minus points where Emre's injury we had to play the last 15 minutes with basically 10 men since Emre was basically hobbling around on the pitch.

Toldo: 7 He looked better than in previous games.

Ze Maria 7: Solid made a quite a few good runs and crosses.

Cordoba 8: He looked more like the old Cafe that we love to see.

Burdisso 8: Was very solid hardly made a mistake . Together with Cafe they looked terrific. Read the game very well.

Favalli: 6 Was avarage made 1 bad error when a cross came in with a man behid he should have headed it out for a corner but nearly heade straight to the attacker.

Cambiasso 7: Very solid help the defense well and also manage to pass the ball to his teammates .

Veron 8: Played very well again, distribute the ball fantastically . Only minus point was the silly yellow card he got.

Emre 8: He was very lively work very hard for the team.

Stankovic 7: Was quite but when he was involved he did very well. Killed off the game with that great strike.

Martins 7,5 Was lively while Adriano was on the field but very quite when Cruz was his partner. Scored a good goal and missed an easy 1.

Adriano 9: Simply superb MOM. Kompany basically had no clue how to stop him.

Javier Zanetti 7: Looked very good at left back when he came on.

Davids 7: Solid not much time to do anything had 1 good shot. Got booed everytime he touch the ball being a Holland player in front of the Belgium crowd.
